By Angelica Aaron and Sage All animals are interesting along with the things they do. There are more than a million animal species. There are 10,000 species of reptiles, 35,000 kinds of spiders, and 3 types of lice. For each person there is about 200 million insects. The 5,416 kinds of mammals represent a mere 0.3% of animals and the 10,000 species kinds of birds only 0.7%. Haven’t you ever just wanted to know facts about some of the coolest animals? Well here you go. Did you know an ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain; guess they’re not the brightest crayon in the box. Cats have over a hundred vocal cords, humans only have 2. Insane! Frogs can only swallow with their eye’s open. Makes sense, right? Dragonflies have 6 legs, but can't walk. Same deal with the hummingbird, except it only has two legs. But what’s the point of having legs then? Isn’t it strange that a moth has no stomach? It’s quite mind blowing. An ant can lift about 50x more than their own body weight; we have ourselves some strong ants! A lion can’t typically roar until the age of 2. Only pregnant female polar bears hibernate. I mean, who would have known? Last but not least, did you know that a blue whale weighs as much as 40 rhinos and its heart alone is a size of a small car? Freaking crazy! Here in our little community of Musselshell, there’s a crazy large amount of mule deer roam the area. If you didn’t know about the mule deer, they grow new antlers every year. The animal has very large ears, which is probably why they can hear so good. A typical mule deer can run up to 45mph. The life span of the deer is usually 10 years. A few years back the deer in Musselshell County population decreased due to bluetongue disease and all around Montana. Thank you for reading and we hope you learned a few new facts about animals.

By: Angelica, Kyra, and Clarissa All over the United States schools have been struggling with leggings. Are they school appropriate? Should be they be acceptable for just pants? Are they too distracting to young boys? Is it the boy’s problem for being distracted? How should leggings be wore? In this Blog we are putting our opinions into two different points of views, are leggings school appropriate and how leggings are not school appropriate. What do you think? For: Girls should be allowed to wear leggings in school. The reason for this is that the schools cannot give a strong reason as to why they can't. They claim that it is distracting to boys. Another thing comes into play that no matter what these young women are wearing boys will always be distracted by girls. Even if it caused more distraction the girls should not have to suffer for the boys treating them like sex objects. Leggings are not that revealing and do indeed count as pants. They are designed for comfort. They do their job. They cover up all parts of the lower body, which are called pants. Girls should not be held responsible for boy's inability to act mature and treat women as people. Not sexual objects. Against: Leggings show off the body. Many girls have them so tight you can quite easily see their underwear and the exact shape of their behind and everything else that some other people don’t want to see. It’s repulsive and obnoxious. Nobody wants to see this in school especially when they are supposed to be learning. They are a distraction to boys. Whether they wear them to show off their bodies or not, it is the end result. Leggings are supposed to be worn with long shirts and dresses, not used as pants. It’s seriously distracting to male teenagers who are going through puberty and their hormones are active. Many women complain about women being treated as objects. What is the point of complaining about this if many girls act like they want to be treated like objects? They know what they are doing right when they put those leggings on. Not at all cute. Girls should wear clothes that they are job appropriate. Respect is what are girls now of days are lacking. Appreciate your body, but don’t take it too far. Do you think leggings appropriate? Tips on Wearing Leggings:
