What do think of when someone says glitter, maybe sparkles, shine, or a mess? Or do the scientist that have found cave paintings over 2,000 years old, that include mica flakes that give the paintings a shimmering appearance, come to mind. How about the modern glitter you use today that was invented by a New Jersey cattle rancher named Henry Ruschmann, in 1934. Well, actually when I use the term glitter it’s none of the above. It’s actually a metaphor for the wonder destined to be found in in our fantasies. As we grow up as the students of Roundup high school we lose the sense of imagination and creativity. We grow up forgetting about our imaginary friends, the tooth fairy, and people like Santa clause. We lose our shine from when we were kids; our shine that carved our personality’s from the base of an individual we show off today. Children try to grow up to fast, so they get to do the fun things. What we don’t realize is that the fun we longed for was with us the whole time. We had the imagination, the shine, the sparkle, he glitter it took to be creative with us all along. This is why we need to be a kid, have fun, live a little, and find our glitter again.
