By: Angelica, Kyra, and Clarissa All over the United States schools have been struggling with leggings. Are they school appropriate? Should be they be acceptable for just pants? Are they too distracting to young boys? Is it the boy’s problem for being distracted? How should leggings be wore? In this Blog we are putting our opinions into two different points of views, are leggings school appropriate and how leggings are not school appropriate. What do you think? For: Girls should be allowed to wear leggings in school. The reason for this is that the schools cannot give a strong reason as to why they can't. They claim that it is distracting to boys. Another thing comes into play that no matter what these young women are wearing boys will always be distracted by girls. Even if it caused more distraction the girls should not have to suffer for the boys treating them like sex objects. Leggings are not that revealing and do indeed count as pants. They are designed for comfort. They do their job. They cover up all parts of the lower body, which are called pants. Girls should not be held responsible for boy's inability to act mature and treat women as people. Not sexual objects. Against: Leggings show off the body. Many girls have them so tight you can quite easily see their underwear and the exact shape of their behind and everything else that some other people don’t want to see. It’s repulsive and obnoxious. Nobody wants to see this in school especially when they are supposed to be learning. They are a distraction to boys. Whether they wear them to show off their bodies or not, it is the end result. Leggings are supposed to be worn with long shirts and dresses, not used as pants. It’s seriously distracting to male teenagers who are going through puberty and their hormones are active. Many women complain about women being treated as objects. What is the point of complaining about this if many girls act like they want to be treated like objects? They know what they are doing right when they put those leggings on. Not at all cute. Girls should wear clothes that they are job appropriate. Respect is what are girls now of days are lacking. Appreciate your body, but don’t take it too far. Do you think leggings appropriate? Tips on Wearing Leggings:

By: Angelica, Clarissa, and KyraHave you just been in school and came across something you wish you could un-see? Though it’s good to be comfortable in your surrounds, here’s things you should just not do. Seems that people don’t know between wrong and right. Many don’t even know the difference between time and place either. Most people may even be guilty of these, how embarrassing, right? One thing not to do in school is talk to yourself. If you forget something and suddenly remember, fantastic. However does it need to be announced to the world? Talking to yourself in public makes you look like a wacko. It’s best to keep silent in those situations. Just don’t be that one person who talks to themselves. Another thing not to do is pick your nose. Sure, it’s annoying when there isn’t any Kleenex in sight or something is peeking out, this does not make it excusable. Toilet paper is another wonderful replacement for Kleenex and can be found in just about every school bathroom. Just don’t pick your nose. Not only is it very disgusting it is also provides gossips to your classmates. Third thing you should never do in school, that tons of people are guilty of, is adjusting yourself. So if a girl gets a new pair of underwear or bras that doesn’t want to work or just doesn’t want to cooperate, go somewhere no one can see and adjust yourself. Sure, your comfortable being yourself and all, but your classmates do not want to see you picking a wedges. Guys if you need to adjust yourself shake a leg! We are in a school setting. Now one thing to never do in school that just about everyone is guilty of is passing gas. Yes, it’s natural and yes it just happens sometimes, that’s excusable. For the students out there who just sit in class and fart aloud then giggle about it, it is not funny. I’m sure your classmates don’t want to smell your body functions. If you can go out of the classroom and go to the bathroom to do it then that’s fine. Again, no one wants to smell you. The last one to mention is do not stare. Staring at people is rude. The people who sit there and stare at their classmates, don’t, it’s weird. When people realize they’re getting stared at it makes them uncomfortable. If you see someone with a ridiculous outfit on, don’t stare. Who knows what their situation and style may be. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but keep them to yourself for the sake of being polite. Just don’t stare. I’m sure after reading our “Things not to do in school” you’re probably remembering a time you committed one of these acts or you may have had a friend who has. Let’s not add to those regrets. Sage Hope Dawn Morning and School Routine trouble? Have you ever thought you had a plan but you really didn’t? Do you ever think about developing a school routine but have no clue where to start, so you just wing it? Most of us have been there, except for those who have superhuman planning and/or have parents that are teachers. From dealing with procrastination to remembering to bring your class supplies, what you’re about to read will at least give you an idea on how to create an organized school routine. We’re first going to start with the morning routine, which we’ve interviewed a student about. She requested to be called Princess Sophia. Don’t ask why. Do you have a morning routine? Princess: Yes. I get up at around 6:00 a.m and I take shower and I usually listen to music while I do that and, then I get out and I do my hair and I do my makeup and then I get dressed and, sometimes, I get a snack before I leave. Sometimes I don’t because I usually eat breakfast at school. And then I get my shoes and pack up my stuff and on out the door. Does your morning routine stress you out? Princess: Sometimes, yeah. ‘Cause that’s usually when I wake up at like 6:30 instead of 6:00 because I keep hitting the snooze. Does it make your school day any better Princess: Usually, yes, because it makes it uniform and it makes my day good. Do you have any advice for people who don’t have a routine? Princess: Get one. And stick to it because it is a lot easier to do that and makes it a lot easier to remember if you do it everyday instead of constantly switching it up. And if you have reminders and stuff like that then it’s easier to fit it in between one of the things that you do regularly. Do you have a basic school routine for certain days to help with others? Princess: It’s all the same for me, it only changes if something’s different about that day. Like if I had a game that day for volleyball or cheerleading or something like that, I would have to pack as well. I would have to dress differently, so I would probably plan my outfit the day before so I wasn’t rushing to find something nice to wear that day and end up late. Here are some tips to create a morning routines
