Do you remember your childhood adventures and all the places you went? Maybe you went to the moon or under the sea. Perhaps jumping across the furniture to keep yourself from touching the carpets that magically turned into lava. Although you weren’t physically traveling, you were still going somewhere special or fearless in your mind. The mind of a child is a miraculous place, where the most pure and innocent thoughts form. Your thoughts, like a storybook, taking you anywhere your wandering heart desires. Just like everything in life we grow and mature physically. Along with our minds, we lose that childhood spark that started the fire of adulthood. We may have lost that imagination and creativity from when we were kids, but that’s okay. We grow in our knowledge because we go to school to prepare our young adult minds for the biggest trip of all. Schools all around the world teach us that we are capable of conquering the world if we set our minds to it. So, when we graduate from our final childhood chapters in life, we are ready to do just that. The rest of our storybook is full of blank pages for us to fill with bold adventures! Starting a new chapter in our lives means we can do whatever we want. Even if that means traveling to the moon, going under the sea, or hopscotching the rising lava nipping at our toes. You are now the author of your book of travels, so go write something great. Valencia Medina-Cabrera
